  • Hong Kong.

This is technically the 4th time I came to HK, and today technically is the 5th day since I arrived. Been to different places, but mainly stay in Causeway Bay and its vicinity. Did some shopping and variety of eating out. So here is the little details of my journey.
Arrived here Tuesday night at around 9pm-ish. I took the bus from airport to Causeway Bay, where I will meet up with Ms. Fu at the bus stop. It was kind of scary, even though I know Chinese and my lovely hostess had sent me images of the bus stop and its surrounding, but there is no way for me to tell directions and even recognize places at a rainy night. After nagging the bus driver numerous times, I got off at the correct bus stop where I met up with someone who seemed like an angel to me at that time. It was such a relief.

    Official Day 1
Because both of us are still tired and jet-lagged, we weren't going to do major shopping and sight seeing. We will be going to Causeway Bay since it is the closest and it practically has everything.
First we went to McD's for a hash brown because somehow we just craved for one. then we went to the infamous Cheung Hing, where Ms. Fu went frequently when she was in HK. the boss knew her so well and always gave her discount. the food was average, typically HK cafe. but very full afterward. we started our long walking journey and walk to CWB.
On our way we stopped by SPSS where Ms. Fu went to school almost her whole life. I even took pics there as if I went there. =)
Didn't do much but mainly walk around Causeway Bay.
I was looking for a new bag, simply because didn't want to carry my polka dot LeSporSac around, needed something bigger. First we look into Longchamp, but we found that Longchamp was carried by many See Lai here in HK. So i didn't want it anyway after doing my little sight-survey.
Stopped by at Marc by Marc Jacobs counter at Sogo where I spotted a wanted bag of mine, well, something that looks like it. I was actually looking for this Small Grass Marcy by Marc Jacobs Standard Supply Tote, it had been sold out EVERYWHERE, as I was told. I thought I would be lucky and get it in HK since the prices are very similar, only a few dollars different. I was WRONG! It is sold out here too. But i notice another tote that is similar in material to, but the shape is different, but still a Standard Supply tote. I've decided I will go after that one if i cannot find my wanted bag anywhere. So my goal of the day was to look for my wanted bag, go into beauty stores, and get a phone card.
As for tea, we went to this tea house on the third floor of the mall where we can look out the window and look down on pedestrians. We were checking out people and talking about their bags, also doing a little tally of Longchamp, Gucci, LV, Burberry and MJ bags we saw. During out tea time, we saw a friend we knew from Bing, and we suspected that we also saw this girl we know from Bing too, but she was one of the many pedestrians in CWB.
For dinner, we went to Ms.Fu's favorite restaurant, a sushi place. The sushi was good but as usually I can only have sushi once in a long while. During dinner, these girls sitting across from us kept on looking our way and smile and talk, just as we do to them. hee hee hee.
Conclusion: After a long walking day, we end up going home with a magazine, a souvenir for my friend and many silly things. Such as was Ms. Fu's kindergarden St.Margaret's or St.Margareta's, because its chinese and english names do not match.

Day 2 - Panda House + Misc. + Marc by Marc Jacobs
After taking a long time to get ready and leave the house, we ended up going out for lunch instead of breakfast. Since I have read about this Japanese curry place online, we've decided to visit the giant panda.
The place is at Tin Hou, a good 20 minutes ride on the tram from Pao Ma Day. We've never been there, but we have the address, so it wasn't hard for us to get there. The place was quite small but neat, its giant panda was so cute, quite iconic. but the food was ridiculously expensive! I am talking about $8-9 for a lunch (drinks includ.) this is ridiculous for lunch at HK and the location where it is at.
We ordered a curry fish cutlet and a curry pork cutlet. They came out to be pretty decent, and quite fulfilling. But my friend had problems with the pricing.
later on we walk back to CWB, on our way we passed by QC where a Bing friend of mine went there as high school, a pretty prestigious school too. We also passed by the renovated Central library, where we acted as tourists and took some pics.
At the book store stop, I bought 2 books that was supposed to be top on the selling chart, currently reading one of them and it is pretty interesting.
Then we went to Pacific Place to find my wanted bag. We were afraid to go into many of the stores because they were so empty and the seemingly scary for poor folks like us. So we went straight to Macr by Marc Jacobs where we play around for a while because I finally settled for my second choice. The tote I was looking for had been long sold out, and the one I am looking out has a few left in HK, so I must make up my mind quick and I decided to buy it. Ms.Fu was trying out another bag and she seemed to like it and wanted to get it too. hee hee hee. i was such a bad friend.
After my MJ purchase we felt brave enough to go into other stores. ha ha ha! I had the guts to go into Miu Miu and TRIED ON MY DREAM BAG! They have it here in HK!!!!!!!!!!!! My lovely Miu Miu Bow Satchel in small and in many different colors!!!!!!! I felt like I was in paradise when I first tried it on. It was sooooooooooooooooo pretty!!!!!! Unfortunately I cannot afford to have it anytime soon. T_T
Leaving Miu Miu we went to purchase our movie ticket for the next day, I wanted to see The Other Boleyn Girl and it is still on in HK.
then we walk home for dinner.

    Day 3 - Wamina + Haircut + Boleyn Girl + Rice Paper
Got up mad early this moring, before 8am. Sat around and read magazines for a while. Then we went to do some grocery shopping and got a lot of drinks and snacks.
Went back home and hea until around 2ish, finally went out again. we went to Fu Ma Ma's favorite place, Wamina at the basement of Times Square. The food was pretty good, but the waiter seemed pretty lost most of the time, didn't know what he was doing gum. we kept on talking his hair style. hahahaha. After dinner it was almost 3:30, we decided to get our hair cut that day. After doing some price checking we settled for the one recommended by Fu Ma Ma. I do not like my hair cut as usual. It makes me look younger and there is a layer of hair kept on staying up so random. Hate it!
We had to hurry up to Pacific Place to catch our movie. the movie was pretty good. Natalie Portman is very pretty. I thought Scarlett Johassan was okay, didn't find her as pretty as Portman. However the character she played, Mary Boleyn, suit her very well. Natalie Portman play Ann Boleyn, who ended up having a bad ending. Not every Ann is bad!!!
After movie we had a few hours to kill before our scheduled dinner with Fu Ma Ma, so we decided to walk to CWB from Admiralty. On our way we made some detours, such as beauty product, snacks, and dessert.
We've arrived at CWB on time. We were having Viet that night at a place call Rice Paper where Fu Ma Ma has discount. The food was so so, and the service was below average. The staff seemed pretty lost and it was messy and confusing. We book a table already but it given to somebody else and we had to wait a while for another table. =T Others waiting for the table were complaining too. We wouldn't have gone if there wasn't any discount. =T

    Day 4 - Cycling.
Met up with Alpha, Louis, Jasper, and Alpha's friends at Shatin for biking. It was my first biking experience!!!!
I've learned how to bike very young, but never mastered it. I only knew how to stay on and keep going. Others I will need assistance. Met up at around 10ish and started our biking trip before 11. Today wasn't as bad but still a bit hot, the river breeze helped cool us down a little. Since it is my first biking trip ever, I am tired as hell at the moment. My butts are in such pain from sitting on the stool for HOURS! My knees are severely sunburned. I've never suffered from sun burn since I am not the type that stays under the sun long so I did not do much preparation. Now my knees are red as chili peppers and in pain. I think they will be shedding tomorrow and turn dark afterward. I will have two weird dark spots on my knee. so random. As for other parts of my body, they've already turn dark as I was biking. I think I will be tanned as hell when I return home. I hope my baby will still recognize me.
For dinner we went Kowloong Walled City, to a Thai place recommended by Alpha's friend. the owner is a transsexual who looks like Yu Fa, those who watch Stephen Chow's movie will know. It was true! He does look like Yu Fa! hahahaha. the food was pretty good!!!! But we couldn't finish all of them.
Then we went to have dessert at Gum Moon Tong, I have pink lady. it has heart shaped jello! so yummy and pretty.
